Central New York magician Ron Cain will bring “The Magic of Color" to libraries throughout New York State this summer! The Central New York magician’s new show highlights the 2025 state library summer reading program theme, “Color Our World."
Appearing as a magical artist, Cain tells children about an evil wizard who has turned everything black and white. They help him perform a series of illusions designed to restore the world one color at a time. Young readers have fun with an amazing art book, a pair of tricky crayons and a puzzling portrait of Mona Lisa.
Throughout the 45-minute program, Cain promotes the value of reading and the importance of visiting local libraries. He also encourages children to use their imaginations so they can create a world of color in their own lives.
A former teacher and Syracuse University graduate, Ron specializes in educational magic for schools and libraries. Children participate in shows promoting reading, history, science and the environment. Ron also teaches children's workshops on topics like Magic, Monsterology and Harry Potter.
