CAIN Magic Company makes magic in the town of Camillus in the heart of Central New York. It offers magical entertainment, magical education and magical merchandise to people of all ages.
Company founder Ron Cain, a magician and wizard, performs at libraries, schools, festivals, businesses and family parties throughout the state. In 1988, the Houston native began appearing professionally as Tex the Cowboy Magician. Since then, he has added such additional magical identities as the Wizard of Wands, Professor GreenPockets, Mr. Magic, Doctor VolCaino, Captain HurriCain, Professor Arcane and Yo-Yo the Clown.
Television viewers have enjoyed his work on the PBS show "Pappyland," televised nationally on the Learning Channel, and "Saturday Showboat," produced by NBC's Syracuse affiliate. He belongs to the Society of American Magicians and the International Brotherhood of Magicians, which inducted him into its Order of Merlin this year.
A former teacher and Syracuse University graduate Ron also teaches enrichment classes and workshops to children and adults. Programs are offered through schools, libraries, recreation departments, Onondaga Community College, and Onondaga-Cortland-Madison Board of Cooperative Educational Services.
Class and workshop topics include magic, tricks and jokes, the world of Harry Potter, monsters, ghost stories, the supernatural, monster movie-making, magical creatures and the Wild West. Adult courses help individuals lead more magical lives through the use of modern psychological strategies and New Age techniques.
Moreover, Ron has demonstrated and sold magical merchandise to aspiring magicians for the last decade. CAIN's Magic & Mystery Shop sells magic tricks, mystical items and fun novelties on the Web and through the mail. Many people have visited the shop's booths at the New York State Fair, at Carousel Center (Upstate New York's largest mall), and at family-oriented festivals and events.
Also contributing to the success of the company is Ron's wife, Karen Bradley Cain, who is a writer and member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Over the years, their children and other family members have lent their talents to the company. Of course, Ron's Magic Bunny earns praise for his contributions, too.
We hope to hear from you soon!
